On Sunday, Sept. 16 at 2 pm, three teams will face off in the 5th Annual Vintage Base Ball Game presented by the Chester, Deep River and Essex Historical Societies at Devitt Field in Deep River. In this free, family-friendly event, the teams will be playing base ball by the rules of the year 1857 (when “baseball” was spelled as two words), using replica bats and balls from the 1900s and wearing reproduction uniforms. Bring a chair to supplement bleacher seating. Raindate is Sept. 23.

This Tuesday I will be casting my ballot in the Democratic Primary in Chester, CT. If you are a registered Democrat or Republican I encourage you to Vote in tomorrow's Primary on August 14, 2018 from 6AM until 8PM.
**Please note! Only voters enrolled with the Democratic or Republican Party are eligible to vote in their respective Primary.**
